Contained...

I found the laundry basket to be SUPER helpful when I need to get anything done on the computer.  Usually I only have little Asa monkey in there with a bunch of toys.  This day Nasharoo felt he needed to be contained too.

...I am sure he was right!

Friends...

 Tayton needed to have an MRI so Stacia let me have the other 3 boys.  One thing you should know about my friend Stacia is she is pretty SELFISH when it comes to her boys and she will not share them with me to often! :)  Nash and I were excited to have friends over.  Just look at Nash's eyes they are just full of excitement.  The Smith boys are definitely like brothers to Nash.

Carson wasn't too sure about me at first.  But I found the way to his heart by filling up that chubby belly of his.

 He wasn't feeling to good and let me have a bit of cuddle time.

 Stacia we only have a few more months here.  You REALLY need to learn to share because I LOVE THEM!

Sick Days...

 Nash and Asa had some yucky fevers this past month.  They both were pretty miserable.  Granny Cosby tried to brighten their day by reading "The Lion King" to them over Skype.  Nash was a little annoyed that she couldn't pronounce their names correctly.  Gee-whiz Granny!!!

 Asa just wanted to be held.  His poor little cheeks were so rosey.

Nash took GREAT care of his brother.  If he is watching a "Woomie" aka movie he wants to be holding Asa.  Then I guess he thought he needed a picture of his movie with my phone because I found this little gem...

I am so glad they are both feeling better now!

8 months old pictures...9 month stats...

Darin's 34th birthday was also Asa's 9 month birthday.  I haven't taken his 9 month pictures yet so I will share his 8 month pictures with his 9 month stats:

All about Asa...

 Asa really is the happiest baby on the block.  He has a smile for everyone and lately squint blinks his eyes when he gets your attention. 

 Favorite Food: Veggies specifically green beans, carrots and peas.  I started Asa on store bought baby food but he really wasn't a fan, especially the fruits.  So I started making my own and he LOVES it.  Although, I did give him some chicken blended with some peas and that was just a little too much for him to handle.  Our dinners are pretty eventful between Nash and Asa, one of them pukes at the table each and every night.  Why do our children have texture issues???

 Asa has ONE tooth on the bottom.  He tries to feed himself by taking handfuls and stuffing it in his mouth.  Usually ends with him gagging and me in a panic. Most often I can't get the spoon into his mouth fast enough and he grabs it to pull it to his mouth.  This is why he is my CHUNKY MONKEY!!  

 Favorite Toy: Anything that he can put in his mouth.  He even tries to eat people I am standing next to or walking by. 

 Favorite Friend: He really loves his brother and belly laughs at him constantly.  My favorite is walking down the stairs in front of Nash.  Asa peers over my shoulder at Nash and giggles all the way down. 

 Favorite Activity: Bath time and we all end up wet because of his excitement.

 Talking? Umm no but the grunting continues. Asa moans and groans with out opening his mouth. He most recently has developed a high pitched screech and a yelp.  Every time he does it Nash giggles and says "What did Asa say?"

 Crawling? We have finally mastered the rolling...kind of.  He rolls from back to front and then front to back.  He gets SUPER frustrated when he is on his tummy and puts head down and cries.  He receives Physical Therapy once a week to help him.  We do a lot of exercises to motivate him to stand as he is perfectly content just sitting and watching everyone else.  All his little friends are crawling around him and he is laughing his head off at them.

 Sleep? Asa is a rock-star sleeper.  I hope I am doing something right with him because our little Nasharoo still is a horrible sleeper.  I recently stopped feeding Asa in the middle of the night.  However, if he wakes up at 5am crying I feed him just for the fact I DO NOT want him waking up Nash at that hour.

 Crying? Not to often only when I need to clean his nose, when he is tired, if I walk out of the room for more then 2 minutes, or when he is on the changing table.

 New trick?  Asa has started to wave by opening and shutting his hands.  He does this to the grandparents mostly on skype/facetime. 

Asa is the sweetest little baby EVER and we are so happy to have him in our family!

Jon Darin Willardson 34 years old...

Darin turned 34 years old on February 19th.  Holy Moly he is getting OLD. :)  He had to work TWICE on his birthday.  He got home from working the night shift at 9am.  We let him sleep until 4pm, then it was time to party.  He wanted mexican food so we headed to Emmaus to Fiesta Ole.  We seriously hope that Georgia has good mexican food because Pennsylvania just DOES NOT!  Asa was pretty pooped when we got home so we put him to bed and we had cake and presents.  For my birthday Darin took Nash to the consignment store to pick out a game that he could play with me as my present. Nash was determined to do the same for Darin.  It was pouring rain as we drove home from preschool and he saw the store and insisted we stop.  No I am not that parent that gives into everything he wants but when he want to do something nice for his daddy I am all for it. He chose the game Connect 4.

 Darin was pretty tired...

So they blew out the candles, ate some cake and everyone headed to bed before Darin had to go back to work at 11pm.

Heart ATTACK!

Stacia invited us over for a fun activity where we made hearts to send in the mail for the grandparents.  Nash wasn't excited about cutting so I let him put the stickers on them and write his and Asa's name. With the extra hearts we "heart attacked" daddy's room.  Nash LOVED this.  Mostly because it was some sort of ATTACK.  He asked me if he could stay up and hide and attack Darin when he came home from work.  He was pretty upset when I said "NO Daddy won't be home until 2am."  Instead in the morning he came charging into our bedroom and yelled "HEART ATTACK!"

 Nash is holding his favorite toy at the moment...a cheetah.  He even left the cheetah on Darin's night stand with 2 hearts on it...that shows how much he LOVES Darin.

I received these beautiful roses from my boys.  Nash was very good at reminding me to water them.

 Nash made this card for me at school.  Mrs. Cowell told me that he worked REALLY hard on the red heart.  He kept saying to her "Oh this is really hard but... it is for mommy...this is REALLY hard." When she handed me the card she said "Wait until you see how much he loves you!" 

 That sure is a lot because as we all know Nash LOVES his dinosaurs!

Preschool Valentine's Cards...

Valentine's Day was coming up and I had a card in mind.  However, Nash was NOT sold on it.  He wanted Dinosaurs or something like that, Darin couldn't see my vision for the card either.  SO I had to take matters in my own hands and veto them both. I ordered melting chocolate and molds.  Then I had a fun little photoshoot with these cuties.... 

Nash insisted on having a picture with his brother.  AGREED!

Then Nash wrote the names of his classmates and teachers on his cards.

 He is getting pretty good at writing.  He hasn't decided if he is a lefty or a righty.  Most of the cards were done left handed. 

We then made the suckers out of melted chocolate and molds.

And VOILA! 

They were a HUGE hit at preschool and Nash was glad that "MOTHER KNOWS BEST!" hehe

Primary Talk...

Nash gave his FIRST ever talk in Primary on January 20th.  The theme was "I am a Child of God and he has a plan for me"  We kept it pretty simple.  I found pictures for him to hold and he colored most of them.  Darin was in the back of the room listening and said all he could hear was "plan....PLAN....PLAN" Nash knew he had to speak loudly and was really brave. I was a proud mama. :)

 This is Nash's 2nd year in Primary and because he attends a Christian pre-school he has asked a lot more religious questions this year.  Most of them sound something like this...

... why did Jesus make bad people?

...why did Jesus make that bush?

...Asa Jesus gave you that nose.  Mommy why did Jesus give Asa that nose? 

...why did Jesus make monsters that stomp on clouds? (it was snowing outside.)

I had this great idea to take a picture once a month of our family. This is about as far as we got with that idea. :/

ICU MONTH...

Our family recently endured ICU month.  This meant 30 hour work days for Darin every couple of days.  ICU is NOT a favorite as Darin is always tired and constantly sleeping.  Bleh!  Nash has a hard time knowing Darin is in the house and he can't play with him.  Darin had a couple of friends on this rotation with him and they all decided to grow a beard for pancreatic cancer awareness.  Darin enjoyed the beard because it took less time to get ready for work.  I liked the beard because Darin payed more attention to keeping his face clean while eating. HAHA!
