Nash is such a helpful child.  He tries really hard to help and teach his brother Asa.  I over heard him telling Cora "I love you Cora, I am Nash, I'm the GOOD brother."

Nash has the kindest heart.  He is always concerned about others.  We call him the safety man, and know that if he is doing something crazy he tested it out on Asa first.  Today he made my heart happy, he was very obedient with picking up his toys and cleaning his room that I rewarded him with a treat.  He was so excited about it but decided to share the treat with all the other kids because he wanted them to have some too.

We continue to work on speech with Nash and he is doing great.  However, there are some words that he struggles with such as BOMB...he says BUM.  I taught Sharing Time in Primary this month and I told the children a story that President Faust shared about how family prayer is stronger then a bomb.  It is a great story (click here to hear it.) When we arrived home from church Nash says to Darin "Daddy do you know what is stronger then a BUM about to explode?!" haha. We love our cute little kindergartener.  With the help of his dad and a lot of practice he has learned to read.

I am so happy we kept Nash back a year in school.  He is doing so GREAT and really excelling.  He was so excited when he got to level up in his class first.  He lost his first tooth this month and received $2 from the tooth fairy.  He changed his name to "Runner" because that is one of his many talents.  Although, I did hear him say his real name is "Nash ROO Willardson, Roo is my middle name!" His favorite place to eat is "Little Sneezers" (Little Cesars).  He is always making us laugh and I love hearing what he thinks about.  He has a strong testimony and wants us to always do what is right and reminds us how to live the commandments daily.

October 2014

Nash decided this month that he didn't want to be called Nash anymore.  He said he changed his name to "Martin".  His favorite show on Netflix is Wild Kratts with Chris and Martin Kratt.  I guess he really likes Martin because he is funny and the tallest.  For Halloween he decided he wanted to be Luigi because he is taller then Mario.  His reasoning for things cracks us up.  I love when he tells me stories his eyes get really big and wants to make sure we are listening to every word.

November 2014

Nash has really loved being in kindergarten.  He is constantly drawing pictures, cutting them out and taping/glueing them to the walls. He wants to grow his hair long but he does not like me to comb his hair because of all the "snoozles".  He loves Netflix a little too much and will repeat every word the characters say.  He is great at taking toys apart and using the strangest part as a sword or some kind of creature power.

December 2014

Nash is a crazy kid.  He doesn't like his hair cut, washed, or combed.  So this picture is pretty much true to his character (if he didn't have a mother!).  His outside may look a little rough (haha) but he has a tender heart.  One of the teachers at school told me that before his class Christmas program one of the girls was super nervous.  Nash told her  "It's okay Delaney. You will be all right I will be right there with you.  Just take a deep breathe." Then he continued to breath with her! I am sure he was scared out of his mind too so it was probably soothing for the both of them. It is fun to watch Nash grow, he still is the nervous little boy but he has certainly found ways to cope with his anxiety.

Nash LOVES to tell stories.  They are usually not stories that he made up but stories full of facts about animals that he learned from his favorite show "Wild Kratts" or from his fun animal fact books.  He soaks it all up and wants to tell us about it constantly, not to mention his constant request to play "what creature am I?"  Nash is very entertaining to watch tell a story because he acts out the creatures.  During this photoshoot I asked Nash to tell me a story, my goal was to capture how animated his eyes are.  He is such a happy, fun kid!

February 2015

Nash was so excited to give his kindergarten class twirly straws for Valentine's Day.  He wasn't too excited about taking a picture like this but when we inserted the twirly straw into his mouth, he was beyond proud.  Nash lost his 2nd tooth this month, it was basically pushed out of the way by the one coming in.  Nash is really doing well in school, and a super big helper at home.  He takes pride in making his sister laugh and monitors how "fair" everything in the house is in regards to Asa.
