Nash's new school took a field trip to a pumpkin patch. I kind of feel sad for people here. We were REALLY spoiled in Pennsylvania with FUN pumpkin patches where you pick your pumpkin, ride on tractors, play in hay, etc. Here they pumpkins are shipped in from New Mexico where they claim Navajo's raised them. I have never met a navajo pumpkin farmer before.
The kids got sit and listen to this older lady tell them stories. For the most part they were engaged in the activity.
I thought Asa was going to destroy all the small pumpkins. He kept saying "DAW!" (ball) and throwing them.
The kids were able to choose a small pumpkin to take home. Nash got the coolest one, it was shaped like a star.
This is Mrs. Stribling and Mrs. Lewis, Nash's new teachers...
Oh how we are getting older...
This is Stephanie Curtis, her husband is a 4th year ER Resident. Stephanie is in charge of the wives club at the hospital. She told me about this wonderful school. Super nice person that I hope to get to know better before they move in June.
Her daughter Alex is in Nash's class. On his first day we walked in and Alex says "HI NASH!" It warmed my heart that he had a friend right off. They sit right next to each other, and Nash often has stories to tell about his friend Alex.
