Darin thinks it is the coolest thing ever...GROSS!

Ward Service Project

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to participate in a ward service project to celebrate Pioneer Day.  We helped prepare an area for a park, ate potluck, and left before the fiddle and swing dancing got crazy...;)  One of my favorite things about Pennsylvania is the beautiful parks, so this was fun to see how these parks are made.
We also got to invite some awesome friends to come join us at the service project.  As I said in the last post I have joined a mom's club where we get to meet a ton of fun people in the area.  A family that we have become great friends with are Aaron, Christine and Emory.  Yes those are there names.  Kind of funny since we are Darin and Christina and for those of you that remember when we were naming Nash he was Emory Nash until he was born.  So good listening skills as well as NO mumbling names comes into play when hanging out together.
This couple is so great, they both like to run, so we have found our running partners!  YEAH! Nash loves Emory and follows him around everywhere and tries to do everything Emory does....
We certainly do love these crazy boys and it was amazing they didn't come home covered in poison ivy.  I never knew what poison ivy looked like but now I do because it is EVERYWHERE out here!
There are 2 things Nash adores WATERMELON or just melon in general and his DADDY!

Pennsylvania is so beautiful and this area was no exception!  We had fun getting to know our ward better as well as spend time with some great friends.

Club Mom BBQ

Moving into a house is a WAY different experience. I LOVE IT! Although, we miss the luxury of walking out our door and having a group of moms and kids to hang out with like we did in CA. And well Nash was getting sick of just playing with mommy, and mommy was needing some major adult conversation. So we got on line and found a meet up group in our area. Our experience with Club Mom has been so awesome! We have met so many fun families with kids of all ages. I think the greatest part of club is there are so many activities to choose from and it helps me get to know the area. This past Saturday was a family BBQ meetup. I forgot my camera so a friend took these pictures of our family that I thought I would share.

The food was awesome. The big bowl is a fruit soup...very delicious!Nash loved this little car and had daddy pushing him all over the yard.

Our cute boy!
Enjoying some good conversation with new friends. Nash at this point spotted the goods to make smores!

Nash decided that he loved playing in the water at this party. We have tried to put into pools before and he screamed but at this party that is all he wanted to do is hang out in the pool. Pretty soon all the kids were stripping down to join him!

We had so much fun getting know more people in Pennsylvania. I am so happy that we joined this group. It has been such a good experience!
