Easter Sunday...

Easter Sunday was probably my favorite day of the Easter WEEK!  Church was great and then after we had a yummy dinner including my first time making deviled eggs (yummy!)  Then thanks to Pinterest I put together a cute little Easter Egg Hunt about Christ's life.  I think I might tweak it next year but it was a great tradition to start.
There is a lot of pictures but I thought they were all cute and I wanted to include them all.

Nash would find the egg and match the numbers.  It was a learning activity too. :)

After we went through the eggs and story we watched the Easter story on lds.org.  Nash really watched and we were able to explain again about Christ.  It was a great learning tool.  I love how his little brain is really trying absorb and understand everything lately.
Then we played the Easter games that we didn't play at our friends party.  He LOVED this and has asked to play them everyday since.
Musical Eggs (practicing colors).  Nash loved this until Darin started cheating then he lost it and started crying. (you just don't cheat when playing games with Nash! haha)
Then we played pin the balloon (tail) on the bunny.

After all the fun games, Nash was in such a great mood and let Darin and I snooze a bit.  What a great Easter!

Easter Bunny...

The Easter Bunny did visit our house.  Although, I am not sure Nash really believes in the Easter Bunny.  That is okay with me, because really HOW WEIRD IS A HUGE BUNNY! I think it goes back to Friday afternoon we picked up his present from a friends house.  Darin was supposed to be distracting him while I put it into the trunk.  However I couldn't fit in and Darin had to help me.  Nash kept saying "what are doing back there?" haha.  Then he wanted to see what was in the trunk all that night!
We do the Easter Bunny on Saturday so we could talk about the Resurrection on Sunday.  I asked Nash if he liked his presents.  He told me he did and was happy that his present got out of the car. haha!
He also got new Sunday clothes. He is such a handsome little guy...

Saturday Morning @ Faith Church...

Faith Church (Nash's preschool) had a carnival and egg hunt.  I wasn't feeling well but Nash was really sad the night before after his friends left because we didn't play some games that he helped me with so I felt like I needed to take him to do something fun.  The carnival was a little of a bust because I didn't know where the older kids were to go for games.  When I figured it out the games were over and we had to go into a sanctuary for a guest speaker.

Although, he looks like he had fun anyway with the little kids. :)

The hunt was fun and we didn't get too many eggs with candy.  Just a lot of eggs with stickers about Jesus. :)  I had to chuckle to myself during the sanctuary part.  The children were so loud and really I don't know if any of them have ever had to sit through a church meeting like that before.  The speaker talked about letting Jesus into our lives and cutting out things like toys and sports. :)  The next day in sacrament meeting I sat there listening to how quiet our children really were.  I am so grateful that our church allows children in our sacrament meetings so that they learn how to be reverent.  Even though it seems like torture to keep them quiet during the meeting I know they are learning.

Easter Party with Friends...

Friday afternoon we had some friends over to decorate eggs.

The boys had fun and they did a great job!

Easter with Club Mom...

I recently re-joined Club Mom after some persuading and I realized that I missed many of my friends that I made the first year we lived here.  I have been happy about this decision as Nash and I have made new friends and attended fun activities.
Nash had a fun Easter week.  It started at school on Tuesday with an Easter party then Friday Club Mom had an Easter Egg hunt and park day.  I didn't check the forecast and the day before was hot and we all got sunburns.  So I dressed us in spring/summer clothes.  It was FREEZING morning so we didn't stay long.
 Nash was ready to pounce!

Darin had the morning off so he was able to join in on the hunt.

Nash was pretty pleased with himself.
 Friends Alex and Will.
I really liked how they did this hunt.  The eggs did not have candy in them.  Instead the kids traded their eggs in for a bag of treats.

I wish we could have stayed longer it was a fun activity.
