Palmyra...
The Hill Cumorah Pageant stage.
No I don't know these people, just wanted a picture of the statue.
Yes I do know these people. :)
What a BIG brother.
Our Family...
I am pretty against being in front of the camera these days, but Darin asked for a family picture in the Sacred Grove and then that turned into a photo shoot for our boys.
It is amazing how hard it is to get the correct white balance in a canopy of trees!
Even though it wasn't my favorite to be in front of the camera, I am REALLY grateful for these pictures with my family in the Sacred Grove.
The Sacred Grove
It was pretty awesome being in the Sacred Grove with my family.
Love that cute little head popping out of the backpack.
I love my dad!
Nash was a bit naughty in the Sacred Grove and took off running from me.
The temper tantrum wasn't really reverent when he was finally caught, and Darin had to do crowd control between Nash and myself.

Palmyra Temple
Darin educated us that this temple is the only one you can see into. The windows in the above picture are open so that it can look upon the sacred grove.

The Smith Homes...
Not far from the Sacred Grove are the homes of the Joseph Smith Sr. and his son Alvin Smith.
This barn was built by my 5th (?) great grandfather John Young and moved to this location. John Young is the father to Brigham Young and Lorenzo Dow Young my 4th great grandfather.
When Joseph Smith Jr. received the gold plates he brought them back to Alvin Smiths home...
The home is 80% original.
He hid them in a box similar to this one on the chest of drawers.
They were also hidden under the bricks by the fireplace. Those are the original bricks.
Joseph Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith's home.
This picture looks a little suspicious. What do you think he is planning to do with that water. ;)
