Background

What happened to "cutest blog on the block"?  I wanted to change my background so I tried to go to there site and it wasn't there?  Anyone know where to find cute backgrounds?

It was gone for me too... along with all of the wedgets I got from there! I have no idea where it went, so Ive started to make my own! I had to get rid of picaboo on my computer too... it gave our computer a virus! Bummer huh!?
I love the new picture of Nash! He's such a doll! And the photograph is VERY talented!

You can go to scrap-e-blog.blogspot.com and find really cute backgrounds. Do you remember Cori Jones from Blanding? It's her site, and she makes the backgrounds. Also Jeanine has a site called jeaninesblogtemplates.blogspot.com. Good Luck!

Sorry I don't keep my blog templates up much anymore. I used to do them, but don't really anymore. I do all of my own but don't put anything on that site much anymore. I know that Cori keeps hers up and has a ton on there so look at her site.

That comment doesn't make much sense. But I meant to say that I make the backgrounds for my blog but don't put templates on that site much anymore.

I'm going to keep checking this post so I can steal all of the information. How do you make your own backgrounds? It surely can't be that hard if you have scrapbooking software already. I'd sure love to know.

Hey Christina,

I love, love your blog! The pics of Nash are adorable! Love the pics of Kaylee and Addie. How did you do the layout of the pictures? Does that ability come with the backgrounds? I'm going to ask you all sorts of questions as I get mine set up.

I am going to answer Ginger's question for you/her. It is really easy to make your own backgrounds if you have a scrapbooking program and I am sure that Christina you can do them the same as you do your holiday cards etc. What I do is just make the page in the scrapbook program and save it. Then your program should have an option to Export as a jpeg so you choose that option. When I am in that box I also have the option to change my resolution to the highest quality (varies by program). So after you have saved the page as a jpeg, I load the page into my photobucket account. (you can get one for free and this is where everyone cutestblog etc stores their pages) After it is loaded you click on the driect link to copy it and paste that in the http part of the HTML settings on your blog. After you load it into photobucket and copy the link you are just changing the background like you normally do. One other thing- something you need to crop around the page because there is a white border around it and you can do that with Picasa ( a free picture program) or any picture editing program. Anyway Ginger, I hope that helps and anyone else that wants to make their own.

I promise not to make another comment! The cutestblogontheblock blog is back up and running so you should be able to get backgrounds there again if you want them there. and scrapgrounds.blogspot.com has cute ones too.
