Ward Camp-out...

Our ward had a fun camp-out this past weekend. Darin had to work late and I wasn't up to camping solo with Nash. Both of us already do not sleep good and I could see the nightmare of bedtime beforehand. My friend Codi's husband couldn't go either but wanted to take her kids up for the evening fun. She kindly let Nash and I tag along.
We arrived early to enjoy nature. The Ockerman's tent was in the process of being set up and Riley let the kids run rampant. Sorry Brook, I hope the tent wasn't dirty.

Sadly our children do not see nature too often and they took some time to warm up to it...haha.
Our friend Stacia was the next to arrive with her 3.5 boys. Her husband had to work late and would come up later. So we put the children to work by "helping" us set up their camp. The above picture makes me laugh. Look at all those children. Stacia, Codi and I are in the YW's presidency and all 3 of us do not have husbands that are home to often so this is the posse that follows us around each Wednesday night. We have our own primary!

I am glad we came early as we were able to get our food cooked before the big group of people came (thank you Riley for SHARING your fire).
MMMM yummy fire cooked hot-dog!
The master minds behind the camp-out.
Nothing better then sitting around the camp fire with good company.

I missed a VERY cute photo-op. Nash and 2 of his friends were too busy by the fire so one of the moms told them to go gather some wood for the fire. They came back giggling and carrying this LONG log. Willa yelled out "LIMBO!" haha.
Stacia's kids had a little too much fun with the "big as your head" marshmallows.
Madden thought he was spider man.
Tayton found Madden's plate by accident....oops! (love little Dawson's face.)
Nash checked in with me multiple times by saying "mommy I play with kicks (kids)?" When I would say yes he would run off and have so much fun. All of the little kids love Josh a teenage boy in our ward. He is so good with the kids and I am pretty sure Nash is giving a big dragon/dinosaur roar in this picture. He was on the look out the entire night for dragons.
We had such a fun night and the best part was I got to go home and sleep in my comfy air conditioned bed! haha. Thanks Ockerman's for setting the evening up and thank you Codi for letting Nash and I tag along!

I don't blame you for not wanting to go camping by yourself! It looks like you guys had some fun though, even if you didn't stay the night. Gotta love the combination of kids and sticky marshmallows together!! I bet spiderman's mom had fun cleaning that off his hands! Haha!!

Hahaha! I just read the comment above about the mom having fun cleaning up the marshmallows. You should have added that you had to clean him up because his mom was too worried about eating her s'more. Thanks for being such an awesome friend!! I don't know what I would do without you!!! I love all your pictures (even if they have big ol' pregnant me in them). :)
