We woke up at 4am on Saturday morning to get us to Philadelphia on time to make out plane. We got there late and had 20 minutes to get our bags checked, get through security and on the plane. The baggage line was incredibly long and I seriously just counted ourselves out of a Florida trip! But somehow with the faith of Darin we made it through. The baggage people forgot to give me my ticket back and I was in such a hurry that I thought Darin had it. Somehow we got through security without being asked for a ticket...does anyone else find that scary! When our belongings had to go through the metal detector thing, they made Darin take off his hoody. He didn't have anything under but his garments and so he was standing in the middle of the airport feeling pretty naked! Once we got through the embarrassment and security check we loaded Nash into the jogger and ran as fast as we could to our gate, which of course was at the end of the airport. Good thing we are in great shape! :) We made it to the gate right before they were closing the doors. We were happy to see that there were 2 seats open in the back of the plane where we love to ride with Nash. I am positive we were being watched over in order to make it in time. Nash was a gem on the plane. Didn't make a peep. But he had everything a little Nasharoo could want, dvd player, snacks, his favorite toy cow,books, blanky and a BINKY (yes we brought it back just for this trip!)

ahhh, stressful starts to a vacation. sometimes that is what i remember most about the vacation. when cordy was 2 and i had weened her from a binky during the daytime, i brought one on a flight for her and when the next flight rolled around a couple years later she was sooo excited to get a binky again. i dont know how she remembered that....cant wait to hear more about your trip!
Wow!!! That is some craziness!! What an adventure!!! Now I know NOT to wear a hoodie without a tshirt underneath when I go to the airport. I never would have thought that they would make him take it off. And yes I do find that very scary that you were able to get through without your ticket.
HAHA!! I bet that was so awkward for Darin to be in his g's in the airport. haha, I just keep laughing. So what did you do in Florida?
Looks like Darin was bushed! Glad you made it and had a great trip. That is always so stressful, getting through security - that is scary that they didn't ask for your ticket again....
Wow!!! I know it was probably stressful to you, but that sounds like so much fun!!! Just enjoy those kinds of trips while you only have 1 kid! Good times!!!
