Kindergarten Thanksgiving

I love Nash's teachers, I love the children in his class and their parents are pretty awesome too.  I always look forward to class parties so I can see all of them.  Although, I feel like a crazy mom of 3 kids each time I have to lug them all in.

Random....

Darin passed his boards and is now a BOARD CERTIFIED EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN!  Hallelujah!
I love finding the boys looking at our family picture books.

I get my rearranging craziness from my mom.  She helped us mover our bed downstairs to help with my knees.
The hospital has a park on the 4th floor that my kids often request to go play at on rainy days...they are pretty good eggs!
Nash had to dress up like the 50's for school.  He wanted to know what was so great about the 50's.  I told him it was when his grandparents were children and he thought that was pretty awesome!

Swim Lessons...

I paid for some private swim lessons for Nash and the teacher ended up quitting and he never got all of them.  So I transferred them over to Asa since Nash was now in school and our schedules were crazier.  Asa did really great and was catching on quickly when he wasn't pooping in the pool! UGH! But then his teacher tore his ACL and the lessons were put on hold.  Hopefully they will start up soon.  I would just get him another teacher but no one else will take 2 year olds. BOO!

Appointments with kids...

He is such a lovely child...

Who wouldn't want to take him in public!

Creature Power...

My kids love the show Wild Kratts.  They often are making creature power suits and running around playing like they are that certain animal.  This day they were zebras!

First taste of food...

Cora wasn't a big fan of rice cereal.  She didn't know how to open her mouth so we kind of had to force the food in.  She is great now with her veggies but fruits are not really her favorite!

Halloween 2014

Halloween night we went over to the Anderton's for soup and trick or treating.  The kids were a little too quiet then we heard Asa crying.  We found that Addi and Nash set up a booby trap of yarn and Asa got caught!

Darin and I sat and rolled up the yarn until Toby brought the scissors.
Since the boys were Mario Brothers, it seemed only fitting that Cora was Yoshee.

The Anderton's live on a very busy road for cars but the houses were dead for trick or treating.  Layne Stalvey and I both were feeling pretty sore since I was 2 weeks out from surgery and she was recovering from a c-section.  The walking was a lot for us so we didn't go up to the houses with the kids, we let the dads and Jenny do that.  The last house we went to scared the heck out of us.  We were talking down by the street with our babies when I heard Layne say "No, NO, NO, NO!"  I turned to just see a shadow which we both thought was a child be slammed by a car.  I screamed which alerted Darin and Toby who came running thinking it was a child too.  It ended up being a dog but and he got up and ran away.  My heart was pounding, as we were discussing the situation, Miles Anderton then started to run towards to the road.  I was the closest one to him but could not get to him because I couldn't run with my knees.  We decided that was too much excitement and went home.  I did not go out with Asa for about 2 weeks after that because I was afraid of him running into traffic!

Early Thanksgiving...

Since we would not be going home for Thanksgiving and my parents were in town we decided to have an early Thanksgiving.  Alex came up from Charleston, Kristin and family came down from Columbia and the Welch's joined us.  We had great food and a lot of fun!

Roasting Marshmallows

Nash requested that we roast marshmallow with Granny and Grandad before they headed back to Utah.
