Trip to Cabela's

We thought about going to see the lights on temple square but then decided to avoid the crowds and go to Cabela's. Which I think was a great decision because it was FREEZING and Nash LOVES animals!

The Wild Willardson House

We were so blessed this year to spend Thanksgiving in Utah with family. Darin could only come for one week so we spent Thanksgiving week with the Willardson's. Troy and his family joined us and the house was fully of boys and wrestling!

Darin has 4 brothers and they love to be together, so of course we had to skype with Trevor so he could be a part of the festivities.

Nash loved every minute of the rough housing and running around with cousins. We had never seen him interact like this before. He really came out of his shell. Makes us want to live closer to family someday.

Grandpa was a little worn out after all the craziness.

Notice all the adds on the floor. Darin and Troy were busy planning their Black Friday shopping.

This is one of the Black Friday buys for Grandpa. He loves toy flying things, the grand kids love it just as much!

....until Darin broke it. :)

Marine Ball

Our friends Captain Riley and Brook Ockerman invited us to attend a Marine Birthday Ball with them a few weeks ago. I ordered 2 formal dresses online and got the sizes all wrong. So I ended up scrambling for a dress the week before. The Lehigh Valley isn't the greatest place to find a modest formal dress. I feel bad for those prom dress seekers! I finally found this cute black dress at the Dress Barn (the last place I looked). I was a little sad about it because it wasn't the dress I was picturing but it turned out great. I of course do not know how to be a girl very well so my friend Codi so nicely agreed to do my hair. She did such a great job and I felt really pretty on the arm of my handsome husband!

The ball was pretty awesome, and I actually learned a lot about the marines. I still don't understand why their uniforms do not match...haha. It was really a fun night minus that part where Darin was IRATE with me for not booging on the dance floor all night. He is such a party animal! haha!

Thank you to the Ockerman's, Codi, and Kayanna (our babysitter)) for a wonderful date night. This was the first time since our wedding we were able to dress up and go out together! SO MUCH FUN!!!

Dinosaur/Dragon

I was passing by Party City and saw that costumes were on sale so I decided to pick up a Dinosaur for Nash. Although, the sizes were screwy and I ended up getting it too small. Even with the too small, uncomfortable costume, Nash would not take it off. I had to coax it off of him before bed. I was able to take it back and get a bigger size, but for some reason I didn't get a picture of Nash in it on Halloween night...GRRRR! See what I mean about neglecting my family!!! Thankfully my friend Codi came to my rescue!

Pennsylvania is a bit strange with Halloween each town in the Lehigh Valley has there own day to celebrate and go Trick or Treating. If you wanted to you could go every night for a week. They also have awesome night parades. This year we invited the Barnes and Masick/Bova Family to join us for pizza and Trick or Treating.

He was having so much fun walking around growling. Most of the time we were waiting for him to catch up because he was in his own little dinosaur world!

I stole these pictures from the Barnes blog. Codi made these super cute Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather costumes. They said that Nash was the dragon from Sleeping Beauty.

Pumpkin Carving

Darin LOVES Halloween. It is a bit rediculous how much he loves Halloween. This year we both were so busy that we didn't do much decorating. Although, we did have some fun carving pumpkins. Darin has to go out, when I am happy with just triangle eyes and a toothy smile. Nope not Darin he made an awesome Tigger pumpkin for Nash!

Dr. Darin searched the house for a scalpel kit to use for carving. When that wasn't found, he settled with using power tools.

Nash had to get in on the action too.

They carved 2 other pumpkins later on with the Ockerman kids but those pictures are lost at the moment. :)

Pumpkin Patch

We tried a new pumpkin patch this year. The weather was pretty cold so we didn't enjoy it as much. Although, it was good to be out as a family! Nash of course was SUPER happy when he found a cow! Real or not it was a cow and it was EXCITING! I love the corn boxes. Nash spent most of his time there.

I wanted to edit these pictures to make them more presentable but sadly I have had no time, and now I am in Blanding with out Photoshop...BOO!

Nash picked his favorite pumpkin. Most of the big ones were gone so we settled for some pretty cute little ones!

MMMM Pizza

Since I have been so busy with pictures, my family has eaten A LOT of pizza lately! Thank goodness it is the junk food of choice in our household. Although, Nash seems to think it should be eaten backwards...it just tastes better starting with the yummy crust first.

Nash is still our little bookworm. I made him a little reading nook in the basement under the stairs. I have since put up walls and made it a little more fun. He loves to crawl through the tunnel and sit in the tents to read. Especially when his daddy will join him!

Neglected Child...

The fall is always a busy time of year for pictures, but this time around I took on a little more then I could chew and my family suffered from it. I am so thankful that photography is just a fun hobby for me and not a full time job. Nash was such a good sport and I am so thankful for all the friends that so graciously babysat for me. Occasionally Darin and Nash got to go with me on a photo-shoot and they had a bit of fun themselves.

Thank goodness for Daddy and his willingness to pick up disgusting things like FROGS, to show Nash...because we all know I am NOT willing to do that. No matter how cute this little boy is!! :)

It may be small, but it is still of the DEVIL!!!
