River Picture overload....

Like I said in the other post my friend showed me some really cool things with my camera and I got a bit obsessed with it and took a BILLION pictures. Okay I would have taken a billion pictures if I didn't learn something new. Here are so many of my favorites from our outing at the river...

To this, within seconds.Then he insisted on joining Darin on the rocks across the river. Although he didn't want to get wet to go over there....Thank goodness for daddies who are willing to handle tired children!

World's End Look Out...

Darin felt it necessary to pose like the man he saw on the brochure.

While at the look-out my friend Codi was teaching me some metering techniques on my camera. I took a lot of random pictures after that trying to get it right.

This poor man stood in this position for at least 15 minutes so his wife could get the perfect picture. I think there was too much back light so he was dark in most of them, and it was frustrating her. He was not a happy camper waiting for her.

Nash had so much fun!

FIVE girls and ONE Nasharoo boy...

Thursday night of our camping trip, Nash was the only boy. It didn't matter too much to him as he was doted over by the older girls. The kids saw this playground near our campground and begged us all morning to go.

I didn't get a picture of Olive at the playground because she was having a bit of a hard time. This picture is taken at the campground when Olive needed to sport some of Nash's clothes. This little girl was into EVERYTHING and went through clothes very quickly! So for most of the time the poor little girl looked like a little boy with a mullet...haha!

Camping AGAIN...

Darin asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday. He had 4 days off and wanted to do something fun. We had so much fun as a family camping a few weeks ago, and it wasn't too expensive so that is what I wanted to do. Thankfully we had friends that wanted to go as well. (Thank you Riley for organizing the WHOLE thing!) We went to World's End State Park which is located 2.5 hours north of Allentown. We decided to go up on Thursday and stay until Saturday. I am so happy we did that. Even though there is more preparations with food, it was so much more enjoyable! Besides I had SO much help from the Nasharoo!

The Ockerman and Barnes families stayed Thursday night then the Lees, Smith and Lamb families joined us on Friday. All the families were from our ward and such a great combination. Everyone got along and the kids played great!

Darin likes to play in the fire and did great getting us some good coals for our yummy foil dinners! It was a bit hard since the wood Riley collected was a bit WET! ;)

Poor Amy was a bit homesick for her mom who could only come up for an afternoon. This camping group had mostly young children who just idolize the Ockerman kids.

There was a lot of running and screaming in this group. They found many creatures, including yucky frogs and slithery salamanders. Sometimes I wondered who was more excited about them the kids or the dads. Darin was so upset when one of the LITTLE girls asked to hold the frog he caught and then refused to give it back...haha...poor Darin, he has such a hard time sharing!

We found this huge dragon on the way out of town. Nash fell in LOVE and toted it around all over camp. I lost him a couple of times only to find him wandering the woods flying his dragon. When he ran after the kids he was often flapping his arms and growling...he has bit of an imagination!

Side story: Thursday night Nash had bit of a hard time falling asleep. I stayed with him for about 30 minutes and he was showing NO signs of getting tired. I told him I was going to leave and he needed to lay down and try to sleep. I zipped the tent thinking that he wouldn't be able to find his way out. As we were sitting around the fire Darin heard something over by our tent so he shined the flashlight towards our tent. There making his way down to us in footy jammies and blankie in hand was the Nasharoo. It scared me so bad, I can only imagine if he wandered off alone in the dark. He ended up sitting by the fire until he fell asleep in my arms...just where I like him. :)

The big 30!!!

August 23, 2011 - the day I turned THIRTY! So I really don't care about birthday's too much but I really did not want to turn 30 this year. I have been teasing Darin for the past 3 years for being in his 30's and now HERE I AM! When I arrived at this age I do not know, it just some how sneaked up on me! ;) Although it was a GREAT day. I woke up at 4:50am and went for an 8 mile run with friends....my favorite way to start my day!

Then Darin and Nash spoiled me by letting me choose what stores I wanted to aimlessly walk around in. I chose IKEA and JoAnn Fabric....yes I am little by little turning into my mother! A few times I looked at Darin and he was completely bored OUT OF HIS MIND. He didn't complain and just smiled....I married the BEST man ever!

Darin and Nash took me to our favorite restaurant "The Cheese Cake Factory" which is an hour a way. He even had the staff sing to me which was really embarrassing but I love him anyway! We were late so we got the cheese cake to go. This was VERY upsetting to Nash as he wanted to eat birthday cake right then...but I think what was even more upsetting was it was MY birthday and not HIS!

On a side note, while we ate at CheeseCake Factory, I thought Darin was bouncing his leg making the table move. But when I looked under the table he was still. I looked at the lights and they were rocking from the EARTHQUAKE!

This is my birthday present. I recently have had a change of lifestyle where I eat mostly RAW foods. RAW meaning uncooked veggies and fruit. I still eat meat just more sparingly and I have cut out most grains. I have noticed a big change in my activity level and I love that I can constantly be eating and not worry about calorie counting! haha. To make most of the yummy recipes I needed a higher powered blender so I got this baby off of ebay. Nash calls it a space ship.

With my new blender I can make yummy things like this!!!! My favorite chocolate mousse made from avocados. And vanilla filling made from cashews. DON'T JUDGE IT UNTIL YOU TRY IT! So super yummy!

Anyway back to my 3oth birthday, it was a pretty great one thanks to my fun little family and wonderful friends! Thank you to everyone that made my day great!! :)
