Swimming...

This is the first year that Nash was not afraid of the water. I have to admit, Blanding does have a pretty awesome pool now. This was our first experience using it. Thanks to Ashley for sharing the life jacket with us. Nash was amazed at how he floated...imagine that! ;)

Ash even got Nash to go off the diving board.

Notice the large slide behind them. Nash wanted to go down it. So I said I would go down it with him. We had to climb a lot of platforms to get up to the blue one. Once we were up there, he became too scared to go down. I told him "NO WAY" and grabbed him and we flew down the slide. Nash screamed the whole way down. I tried to hold him up so he wouldn't go under the water. But he did and well he was so mad at me that he didn't talk to me for 15 minutes. lol

Thanks Granny for treating us this summer to the swimming pool!

COWS!

This what I get for trying to play catch up on my blog. I just found MORE pictures of Blanding.

After church one Sunday we took a drive around town. We went out "around the world" and found some stray cows. My dad knew they were Kenny Black's and they were trampling everyone's yards. So we dropped him off in his suit and he started rounding them up while we went back to the church to get Kenny.

We actually weren't the only ones rounding up the cows as others coming home from church were doing the same...I love small towns.

Nash thought it was pretty neat-o-speed-o!

Good-byes...

We had a blast in Utah but we were excited to get back to Darin in PA. We stopped by Gma and Gpa's to say good-bye. Gpa had to go work at the temple so we missed him.

Obviously our kids feel right at home.

Asa thought Gma's oxygen tube was a chew toy.

He also was obsessed with the little BYU cougar. If he saw it he had to have it!

Nash just thought he had to have all the attention that Asa was getting, so he started mimicking Asa.

And then the running around began. Get out all your energy little man!

Someday we will live closer to our families, but until then we are so thankful that we are welcome in your homes. Thank you for having us and showing us love and support in this crazy medical journey!

Speaking of bald men...lol...mmm dutch oven potatoes!!

My parents have a small kitchen and of course you have to add in 2 children and 3 dogs on the floor, because there wasn't enough going on with making dinner!

Asa spotted Cody and the dog on the other side of the gate...

Sadly Asa fell down those stairs while we were there. It was the worst thing I ever saw or heard. My poor baby!
Thank you Granny and Grandad for having us for a while we had a lot of fun!

Uncle Cody...

Cody recently bought one of the older homes in Blanding. He was really excited to show it to us. Nash and Asa just were happy to hang out with Cody.

Grandma Cosby

The last time we were in Blanding was for my Grandpa Cosby's funeral. So it was a little strange to go see my Grandma and not have Grandpa there too.

This trip we found out how much Asa loves stuffed animals. My Grandma's house is always the source of random toys that walk and talk...which I think both boys were a little freaked out by!

My Grandma had some beautiful flowers. I forced the boys to sit in them. They were less then thrilled.

The Farm...

Some of my favorite memories growing up are at my Grandpa Hurst's farm. I am glad that my uncle Todd has the farm now and we can still enjoy it. My cousin Brooke invited a bunch of old friends from High School to come down and have our kids play. Most of them have 4-6 kids so there is A LOT to get together!

I brought Koen and Sadie along with us.

Sadie is the best babysitter for Asa I have ever had! ;)

I have known most of these girls my whole life. They were great to me on this trip. Ginger in the front who is pregnant with twins had a nice lunch for all of us at her home. It was fun to reconnect. Thanks ladies!

Nash loved making knew friends and "spying" on the girls who were catching frogs. lol

After this party we went over to Steve and Suzie Francom's to visit. I wish I would have taken a picture there. Asa was so crabby and Nash was having a freak out moment that we didn't get to stay long. I sure love that family!
