The Amazing Megan the Chorister...

I am the 1st councilor in our wards primary presidency. I love my calling and enjoy the people I work with. We have a very small primary and kids are outstanding! It is not uncommon for our ward to have a fast and testimony meeting of just children. In PA they actually asked the children not to bare their testimonies in sacrament meeting, saying the primary is the place for them. So unfortunate because our kids give the most simple but profound testimonies. When I was a kid we would bare our testimonies but it was like we were given a script and we all said the same exact thing. Not the kids of North Augusta! We have some very old souls in these little bodies! Makes me excited for the future of our church!

With all that said we as their teachers have had to step up our game! Our chorister is an amazing teacher and does so many interactive activities to help the kids learn not only the songs but the doctrine behind them.

This was for Father's Day. Nash looks just like Darin! Haha

Scientist Sunday Sing time!

I hope I stay forever in Primary!

Girl Clothes...

I worried this sweet little girl would have no clothes! Then I got several boxes from friends and my mom and Iam positive she is set! I can't say thank you enough!

Armadillo...

We took a short hike through Phinizy Swamp and came across this little guy...

I think we were more nervous of him then he was of us.

This place scares me with all the water, alligators, snakes, etc. Asa is not allowed to walk around on his own, he has to be contained or I am positive he would be buddying up with an armadillo!

Finger Paint...

I always want to do fun things with the kids like finger painting. The problem is my kids can't handle the texture and getting their hands dirty. 

I made my own paint and I stripped the boys down because I was determined to get them dirty in paint.

They didn't like their hands being dirty so I started smearing it all over their bodies. Don't let these smiles fool you there was way too much screaming and crying!

But we had fun and I accomplished what I set out to do.

Stuck Bird...

Our back porch is a trap for so many flying insects and animals. Asa is very good at monitoring the situation and very LOUDLY let's us know when something is "STUCK!"

Darin is always the brave one who captures the poor critters and moves them outside. Most of the time if it is a butterfly he will catch it and feed it, then analyze what kind it is. He is kid at heart for sure!

I love Asa's stance as he supervises the situation!

Asa's first haircut...

Asa ws getting a bit of a duck tail and comb over.  So we pulled out the buzzers stuck him in the sink to play with the water and chopped a little bit off.

He has a cute little curl mohawk like Nash did at this age.  I love it!

St. Patty's...

The leprechaun came to our house again.  I tried to get Nash to set up a trap for him but he said that it would be mean to catch him....that is until in the morning when the he saw that the leprechaun came and he is all about catching the leprechaun next year.  In fact we heard about it for the next few months.

 The leprechaun built a pretty cool fort, with some fun toys in the boy's shoes.
