March Moving Madness....So Long Vista Valle!

Vista Valle Townhomes...aka Mormon Compound...aka Vista Valle Hotel and Suites.  This was our home for the past 3 years, and we LOVED living here.  When we first moved in half the tenants were LDS which made making friends VERY easy.  Thus the reason for the name Mormon Compound, as it was referred to in the ward.  We liked to call it Vista Valle Hotel and Suites because we had the best neighbors, if your family was coming into town and one of the neighbors would be gone, they would volunteer their home for your family to stay in.  This was so nice to have family so close, and not feel like we were sleeping like sardines!  We want to give a big thank you to all the neighbors who let our family stay in their homes as well as let us use their parking spots!  You guys are the best and we will miss you OH SO MUCH!

YES...I was crying at the point of snapping this picture on our way out!

We were one of the lucky few with a garage, this made moving easier too.
The next door park that always brought in questionable people and acts...we will miss our drug dealing neighbors....hmmmm.
Nash was a big help during the move, he had a ton of fun playing with the Grandmas, and whoever else was around....Thanks everyone for helping out with him.

We had so much help cleaning!
Cinderdarin, Cinderdarin, night and day Cinderdarin, wash the dishes do the laundry.... Our floor looked so great after he was done!
The fam waiting to take the long trip home to Utah.
No we didn't take the bean bag (big red ball) home like that, we actually stuffed it inside, and it took up the whole car.  It will remain there until Pennsylvania.
The packing crew.  My dad and brothers, got everything into the trailers and pick-ups.  They decided Darin and I shouldn't drive any of our cars so we loaded the cars onto trailers and pulled them home.  It was nice to be all together during the move.
The moving train.  Train #1 my dads big hipped dodge with Darin's car on the back.  Mom and Dad Willardson had their blazer in case we needed more room. (thank-you) Train #2 Kedrick's Sequoia with our UHAUL trailer, which was a piece...we about tipped over so many times, because of the trailer tongue, or maybe it was Kedrick's driving (it's a toss up!).  Train #3 Cody's Ford pulling my car.
Don't you worry it won't be this much work going out to Pennsylvania.  We are getting a BIG moving truck and pulling one car, then driving the second.
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS!  WE LOVE YOU ALL!

Goodbye Disneyland!

When I was a kid we went to Disneyland every year with my Grandpa Bruce who worked there.  It was the highlight of the whole year.  I was so excited to have my family come to California to move us so we could all go to Disneyland again.  Darin's family came every year sometimes twice a year while we lived in California, and it was a blast being there with family. Even though there was a BILLION people there, we had a ton of fun, I LOVED IT!!
Koen just didn't have the strength to pull out that sword!
Sadie was like a rodeo queen waving at all the people on the carousel.

Nash was wiped out!
We are going to miss Disneyland!  It was great being able to go and spend a couple of hours at the happiest place on earth and then go home.  I think what I will miss the most is the Jalapeno Pretzels!!  ....yum...sigh...
These kids were so good the whole trip.  Granny Cosby had a ton of fun with them while us big kids went on the bigger rides.  Good-bye Disneyland...we will miss you!!

Family, Family, Family!

The last 2 weeks we lived in California were full of family fun. Darin's brother Troy came with his family. I was lame and didn't take ANY pictures while they were with us...sad :( They helped us out so much with washing walls and patching holes. We are so grateful for the time we had with them. Darin was so happy he got to spend a day at Six Flags Magic Mountain with them and I was happy that he had someone else to go with on all those scary rides!

My mom, and Darin's parents came also during the week to help clean and pack. It was nice having the help we did with Nash too. They watched Nash for us while we enjoyed an afternoon at California Adventure...SO MUCH FUN!! Troy's family stayed for a week, and then the Cosby clan joined the craziness for a week. The first day the Cosby's family joined us we took our last trip to Newport Beach. I remembered my camera this time and here is some of the fun...

This is the first picture since having Nash that I have not Photoshopped myself skinny.
(FYI I won my weight loss competition...28lbs BABY!!!....YEAH...it's over!)

Silly little monkey!
He loves his daddy!
The kids had so much fun in the cold ocean! They were ready to run after being cramped in the car for so long.
Sadie got her BAY-WATCH on!
Koen couldn't contain himself and stripped down to his undies....uh-oh!
We were able to watch sea-lions and dolphins and enjoy the nice weather.
Fun was had by all!
A trip to the beach was a great way to start off our last week in California!

Growth Spurt!

Sorry for the long break of no posting...we are now moved to Blanding for a month and I have a lot of catching up to do on here.  So be warned there will A LOT of posts to come!

First off Nash had a great 9th month!  He had a couple of firsts, here are a few....
He got 2 VERY SHARP teeth!
He started to crawl!
He was great at unpacking everything I packed up!
Darin was so proud to teach him how to crawl up the stairs...not something I was too fond of him learning so quickly.  It became an obsession and he always wanted to be near the stairs!  GOOD WORK DARIN!!!
Nash is now pulling himself up...
getting into everything...
basically nothing is safe...
and he is so proud of himself!
We are too.  I love this age the most so far.  I think what I like the most about Nash being mobile is he can entertain himself, and doesn't seem to be soooooo needy.  I love to see where his little determined mind takes him.  He is so much fun!!!  WAY TO GO NASH!  In my eyes these are all great accomplishments!

9 Months Old

Nash turned 9 months old on Monday...I remember people saying it took 9 months to put on the pounds and it will take 9 months to take them off. Well I think it will take 10 I still have 5 more pounds to go! :) Yes I did join the 65 pound club during my pregnancy with Nash! But boy did I enjoy eating anything and everything I wanted...sigh...I miss those days!

Nash's 9 month stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 8 oz
Length: 27.5 inches
**Both in the 10th percentile
Head: 18 inches
**Average

ALL ABOUT NASH:
Favorite Food: Carrots, Sweet Potatoes & Rice
Most Disliked Food: Turkey (definitely not a Willardson)

Feeding Himself? Nope, lumps, texture anything sticky is not for Nash he would rather starve then touch something that will get his hands dirty...(I think he might have gotten that from me.)
Favorite Toy: Winnie the Pooh Bath Toys & Fishing toys, or anything that makes noise

Favorite Friend: LINDEY LOU (our dog)

Favorite Songs: Wheels on the Bus, I am Child of God and Teach Me to Walk in the Light...Darin thinks that he likes ACDC's Thunder Struck, and TNT songs....whatever.

Talking? He has started to babble all the time, even in his sleep, and Darin swears he said "Ya'ta'eeh" (hello in Navajo)

Crawling? Heck no, who needs to crawl when you can roll around...the doctor thinks he will walk before he crawls...we will see, he loves to stand.

Sleep? Doing better every night! He sleeps the best in the stroller, I have him trained that when I run he sleeps...I hope this continues!

Crying? Yes this boy loves to cry on demand especially when he doesn't approve of one of us walking out of the room...even Lindey...drives me nuts!

Nash really is a happy boy and gives smiles to everyone. He loves to play, and is so busy all the time. He likes to pull himself up onto you and give hugs. His giggles is the best sound and we love him very much!
Grandma and Grandpa Willardson came to visit this past weekend. We are so happy they came!
We want to wish Grandma Willardson a Happy Birthday on February 12th.

And Grandpa Willardson on February 19th!

Happy Birthday Darin!

Darin turned the BIG 30 today! I have been thinking about this birthday for a long time and I have wanted to do something fun for him to celebrate his OVER THE HILL AGE. ;) However, the past 3 weeks we have had a heck of a time staying healthy. First, Darin got pink eye in his right eye and then it spread to the left. He also came down with a cold...I loved his pediatric rotation because of the schedule but I was so happy to see it go because of all the viruses that he would contract and bring home! Nash became really sick too, this is the first time he has ever been sick. We have been really lucky in that department. He ran a fever of 102-103 for a couple of days, and had a REALLY stuffy nose...last night we finally saw a glimpse of a tooth breaking through. I finally got Darin and Nash better, and then I contracted the cold that turned into a HUGE sinus infection...yeah... Needless to say Darin's birthday celebration has been put on hold.
We are so grateful for Darin and his hard work. He is the best Dad and helps out so much around the house with Nash and other responsibilities. Nash loves him so much and lights up when he walks into the room...as do I! I remember hearing my friends talk about how they love to watch the interaction of their husbands and kids, I now understand that. Darin seriously thinks like a kid sometimes, it makes me laugh. Yesterday, I commented on how fun it is to see how everything is a new experience for Nash. Later, I heard Darin say to Nash "you think this is cool wait until I show you glow sticks!" haha...I thought that was cute and so Darin. He loves to have fun, and really doesn't care what others think of him. I learn something new from Darin everyday, and realize why he was placed in my path. He is very intelligent and has the biggest heart. I know he will make a great doctor and I am not surprised that he got into his #1 residency choice. He has great work ethics and is a friend/peacemaker where ever he goes. To many he seems serious but the Darin deep inside is a kid at heart. Darin would go to Disneyland or Six Flags everyday if I would let him. I look forward to the day when Nash is old enough to go on those scary roller coasters so I don't have to anymore. Darin doesn't say much... I do that enough for the both of us, he is a great listener and truly a one of a kind person. I could go on and on about the great person Darin is. I love him so much and want to wish him a GIGANTIC HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

MONDAY - MONDAY!!

Monday, February 9th just isn't coming quick enough for our family...okay for me that is! This is the big day we find out where we will be living for the next 4 years as Darin does his residency. This past year was spent doing audition rotations and interviews in potential residency programs, and now it comes down to the day of the match....dun dun dun! About a month ago Darin submitted a list where he ranked his top DO residencies, all the DO residency programs as well submit a list of their top residents. If both lists match that is where you go. If he doesn't match in the DO match he has a chance in the MD match as well and if no luck there we scramble for a place. However, I don't think we will get to the last option...I hope! Not surprising my fingernails are gone from my nervous chewing and crazy Darin has come down with a terrible case of PINK EYE!
This is Darin putting on his anticipation face...basically he is humoring me.

Poor guy! Actually his eye is looking pretty good. Hopefully he will be in tip top shape for the big email reading on Monday or else I will have to take matters in my own hands, and read it for him!

THE ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME!
