Catching Frogs...

A nurse Darin works with showed him some pictures of catching frogs with her son.  Darin decided we needed to go.  UMMMM does he not remember that his wife is TERRIFIED of frogs!  We invited Codi and her girls to join us.

Nash was a bit like his mother and little nervous of the hoppy creatures.  He stayed on the banks for a while but eventually joined the rest in the water.

Willa was excited to help catch the crazy animals.  But Nash's face explains his reaction! haha.
Codi was a good mom and caught a couple tad-poles.  I on the other hand hung out with my camera on the sidelines.

The findings. One of them had legs already.  SO CREEPY!  Codi took that one home to show Iris.
I think this was the kids favorite part.  Running across the road through the water.

There were a few fishermen around us.  We think this fish was a catch and release. It was a little slow and maybe wounded.  Darin caught it with a bucket.

 Olive found mud.

If Nash is able to run, he is one happy boy.  I hope he is always like that.
We thought this sign was a little funny.

I am sure happy I married Darin.  He is such a fun daddy and really tries to find fun things to do as a family.  He isn't afraid of anything and is helping me become more adventurous.

Kite Flying...

Nash has the best daddy. On his way home from work one day he stopped by Sam's Club to get gas and ended up picking up a BIG dragon kite for Nash. It was so funny watching Nash and Darin try to get the kite up in the air. I know I should have helped but it was more fun watching them try. They did succeed finally and Nash was one happy boy!

AHHH!

I took of picture of Nash's face so he could see how dirty his face was. He made this crazy face, then when I showed it to him he jumped in fear! HA! I have the same reaction lately when I look in the mirror! haha.

Spring has Sprung...

I love the spring time in Pennsylvania. The trees and flowers are GORGEOUS and the weather is a bit wacky but great...minus the wind.
I took these with my phone on our way to the sandbox park.
I also love spring because it gets me excited to get moving and exercise. Okay so I love to exercise year round but I LOVE when I can go outside in the sunshine. Because I am pregnant and I pack on the weight I have been working on trying to find a great workout for pregnant woman. This is what I found....Sure I could totally do that....HAHA! Then I found and ordered some awesome workout videos. HEY don't judge them! Doesn't everyone want to put on a leotard and spandex during pregnancy and WORK OUT!Thankfully I have a great workout friend Codi who is pregnant and due around the time I am. We get together on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's and workout in my basement while the children run rampant in my house. It is great and is helping my mental attitude so much! On Tuesday and Thursday I meet with my friend Christine Masick and whoever wants to join during pre-school time and walk a couple of miles.A while back I signed up for one final race, an 8k for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. This was my 3rd time doing this race. Spring means race season and well I was nuts for thinking I could do it at 6 months pregnant...I wanted to throw in the towel 2 weeks before and just do the 5k walk. But then after a workout one day Codi and I decided we would try to run the race route to see how far we could make it. We ran the whole thing and felt great! I was like a kid in a candy store, so giddy and happy. Until I got home and couldn't walk, and then began to spot. Luckily the spotting stopped and I decided to take it easy the next couple of weeks. I tried to run a mile each day before my workout schedule and that seemed to help out a ton. When race day came which was shared by many great friends as we were on a team called TEAM ARIEL, in honor of my friends daughter who beat Leukemia. This picture was inspired by an awesome workout video by Kathy Smith. I recommend it to everyone who is pregnant for a good laugh! haha.
This year the race was divided into heats. Codi and I were in the last wave of runners but we were NOT the last runners to finish. YAY US! Codi finished at 57 minutes and I was at 58 minutes. (according to my Garmin watch since my race chip did not work!) Of course those are not times that we would normally be proud of but seriously running an entire 8k without stopping 6 months pregnant is pretty incredible in my eyes! I finished with some 60 to 70 year old's who took care of me each step of the way...I love making friends during races. It is so fun to have them come high five you at the end. :)

Congratulations to all our friends who ran the race you all did AMAZING!

...and now my running shoes are put away for a couple of months. :)

Darin turns 33...

We were in Utah when Darin had his birthday. So we celebrated when we got home. Nash and I made a trip out to Quakertown to the Dairy Queen to pick up the ice cream cake that Darin loves. We got some balloons and Nash was so excited for Daddy to come home.

Happy Birthday Darin! We love you!

Grandpa Cosby's Funeral

It is taking me forever to finish blogging about my trip to Utah. The purpose of this spur of the moment trip was to attend my Grandpa Cosby's funeral. My parents were super kind in offering to pay for us to come out, since I would be the only grand-child not in attendance. Thank you mom and dad it was so nice to be able to be there.
My grandparents are a little funny. My grandpa really LOVED Mtn. Dew, and my grandma really loves gardens and she though by putting the bottles on the plants it would help them grow better. When it didn't work, she decided she liked the way they looked into the sunlight...haha so their yard doesn't have grass but it DOES have trees and bushes covered in Mtn. Dew bottles....yes it is true. They are little cooky but we love them. :)
My dad is the last of the Cosby men in his family. His brothers Tommy and Kay died when I was a child

I learned about a tradition that the older people in Blanding have where they have their caskets made before they die. They store them in their house and use them as cabinets until they die. A little strange but I guess smart for the fact you get what you want. haha. My cousin in-law made my grandpa's and my mom made the quilt that lined the casket was assembled by my cousin Stormy.

Sadie was a great babysitter for Nash. She let me know EVERYTHING he was doing that was good and bad...haha!

She wore the poor kid out. He was so naughty during the funeral I was happy that he did go to sleep. My dad wanted me to take pictures, so Ashley was nice to help me out.
My moms family came down from Utah county to support us all. Thanks Aunt JoAnna and Gpa Bruce.

My gpa's best friend Jim Madden (2nd from left) wanted to be apart of the military tribute. Although, the guns were just a bit too strong and the 2nd shot brought him to the ground. He was pretty embarrassed when someone had to help him up and steady him to finish the shots. The gesture was pretty amazing and I know my Gpa I am sure appreciated his friend being a part of it.My cousin Tyrel is part of the Army Reserve and was able to present the flag to my Grandma. I love military funerals, they add so much.

My cousins left a Mtn. Dew bottle to share with Gpa one final time.
I loved my Gpa very much and I know he loved me. He had a funny sense of humor, and always greeted us with a big smile. He will be missed.
