I have a feeling the month of May is NEVER going to be relaxing ever again. This year was CRAZY! We had something going on almost every single day. To add to our moving chaos I decided that Nash needed a birthday party to say good-bye to his Pennsylvania friends. And Asa needed a shindig to celebrate one year of his life.
Nash wanted a water balloon party and I wanted an airplane themed party. Mostly because I wanted to take a picture of my boys in Stacia's cool wooden airplane!
Nash did most of the prep work. I tried to keep it simple this year...NO dragon tails for everyone this time!
Instead we made these cute little airplanes made out of clothes pins and popsicle sticks....THANK YOU PINTEREST!
Then Nash wrote everyone's name on their bags. These would be used for the pinata candy.
Nash helped me wrap boxes for an water balloon angry bird game. He wanted me to take this picture. He said "Can you find me or do I look like one of those monkeys?" haha!
The cakes were kept simple this year too. I got this great idea from Kristen Dowling. Nash had fun doing the sprinkles and said it was his "earth cake" because it looked like a world. I love how his little mind works.
Asa was a happy little supervisor...as long as we were stuffing his face at the same time.
Nash was beyond excited about his birthday party. The week before the party we were to have a yard sale with the Ockerman family. Of course it rained that day so we ended up doing the yard sale the SAME day as the birthday party. Ya I know I love to bring misery and chaos to my life! Oh and this is all just days before we moved. :)
